Kunstcinema comprises a group of artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, actors and theatre directors living and working in Copenhagen. We wish to engage the audience in current conceptual and transmedial art debates and the cinematic visions of the contemporary world. Correspondingly, also bring the artists closer to the art world in its art historical context - providing them with the necessary methodological tools to help them determine their work's conceptual base. We aim to empower contemporary artists by making their collective engagement more informed to raise their sense of social and ethical responsibility.

Kunstcinema was founded by Ekaterina Bagdavadze in Copenhagen. She is a Practicing Artist with PhD in Art History. She is currently Lecturing in History and Philosophy of Art-historical Methods at the Academy of Arts (Tbilisi, Georgia). Ekaterina launched a new inter/transdisciplinary education system in the field of Philosophy (phenomenology and epistemology) of the Methods of Art History.
